I haven't done anything over this break. Not a damn thing.
I decided to stay in the apt. here in Narragansett rather than retreating to my tiny room in Burrillville. The funny thing is that my mom seems dissappointed, yet when I'm home all I do is hole myself up in the bedroom playing videogames and waiting for people to get out of work. My stepdad rocks out all day watching DVDs in the parlor, of which he has an awe inspiring collection of $5 B movies.
So I've been in Narragansett. Not working. Not schooling. Just wasting.
I've been playing Halo 2 and Madden. I've been watching the Strong Bad DVDs and Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 2. I sit by myself and laugh out loud, and I grow nostalgic for when Kraig and Joe and I could spend entire nights listening to a mix cd that blends 1996 era rap and Johnny Cash while we played playstation Risk and quoted Strong Bad.
Now Kraig has a kid, so man down.
I actually did do something somewhat productive when I made the syllabus for next semester, and then I read Deception Point by The Da Vinci Code's Dan Brown (a little dissappointing and hokey, forced dialogue).
And I've been on a bender. I have had a odd spike in invites to go out to bars this week, especially those in Providence. So I am taking a sabbatical before my jaundice sets in.
And I have become addicted to "The Landslide Lally," which is a specialty sandwich from the deli across the street. Basically a good turkey sandwich on rye, but featuring such stars as "The Cranberry Mayo." I have no idea what this condiment is, but it is fantastic. If you have the opportunity, seize it.
Also, I scored straight A's this semester, 2 in my grad classes and one in Kunz's class on business films (Wallstreet, The China Syndrome, Network, Hudsucker Proxy, etc.).
Apparantly I have thrown caution to the wind when I use livejournal now, utilizing "And" at the beginning of every sentence for some misguided notion of comedic effect.
