Last night I was browsing through the Taiwan News stations before I drift to sleep, but I when I was about to call it a night, I saw a picture of Andy Lau with a fan, then the next picture was an old man's picture. Then the headline says: Father kills himself because of Andy Lau... Something like that, I wasn't able to catch the other words because it was the end of the news report. I stayed up until 3am just to watch the replay of the news but without luck. Since was home alone last night, I texted my cousins if they saw the news. Nobody replied.
The news goes like this:
Andy Lau attended a birthday celebration of two of his fans and Yang Li Juan's family went to HK so they could see Andy Lau. They tried to get Andy's attention and requested for a private moment with him. Yang's father attempted to run for Andy's car but with no luck.
Yang Li Juan's father killed himself because he hated Andy Lau that he did not give his daughter a chance to meet him in person. He left a long letter to Andy Lau stating that he's not a professional and saying what kind of a heartless person he is because he did not give in to the demands of his poor daughter. They came all the way to China so they deserve a special treatment with regards to talking to him and taking a solo picture with him. A 12-page long suicide letter containing his hatred for Andy Lau and a very unreasonable explanation on how hard it was for their daughter to "chase" Andy lau and she idolized him for 13 years. In those years, they spent money on Beijing concerts, posters, pictures and other stuffs of Andy Lau. And now they're demanding a payback from Andy Lau. Saying he is nothing compared to Jacky Cheung or Nicolas Tse.
This family sold their house for 38000RMB (x7=php), almost sold his(the father's) kidney (just like Povilicious23 would've done before(*heee peace bula!), and asked for loansharks and mortgaged the old man's ATM card just to borrow 10,000RMB so that they can see Andy Lau in person. The father said he wanted to fulfill his daughter's dream... which is to see Andy Lau in person.
This fangirl is already 30 years old and without a job, her father was a retired teacher who is given a pension of 2060RMB a month, her mom has heart problems and they sometimes live in the streets of Gan Su lan Zhou city in China.
This fangirl says she regrets everything that has happened but still she would want to see Andy Lau for a picture with his signature so his father's death wouldn't go into waste.
As of now, the fangirl and her mom are already in Shen Zhen and will live there temporarily. They were accompanied by a reporter to make sure they went back safely. Their HK visa has expired and they already lived by the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui when some of the reporters found them.
Okay, I'm a fanatic but I sure am not a lunatic like that family above. Excuse me, and who is Yang Li Jun compared to the thousands of F4 fans coming from different parts of the world. So I should demand a private talk with JERRY too and even JAY coz I went all the way from the Philippines just to see them both in flesh. Then those JMS from Thailand, Canada and other parts of Asia should each demand a time with their idol because they also came from afar. MAYBE when Jerry's already 60 years old and has already planned to film his projects, he would've finished his private talk with the fans. Well, I'm sure Andy also has fans from Canada, US and the likes. She is just 1 of the 1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx fanatics who spent her money just to see her idol. What is China to HK compared from those coming all the way from CANADA to HK? But I guess these fanatics are not stupid enough to drag their whole family down just because they wanted to see their idol right? UNREASONABLE is the word.
I am an Andy Lau fan for more than 13 years and I know Andy treats his fans well, he treats them during his birthday, he treats them when he won the Golden HoRSE. He's a man who knows how to value those who has helped him. Those demands that this fan wants, I think she should've been locked up with those lunaTics down at the Arkham Asylum. Being a fan is to protect your idol, but what she did now is not good to the image of the one she idolizes. She's selfish, shameful and not filial to her parents. She dragged her parents down and for some reason she is a murderer for letting her father choose to kill himself. A spoiled, jobless, immature, lunatic who needs a drum full dosage of E to awaken her. Bitch.
P.S. Andy's Angency responded to this family, when they begged CCTV and other stations to help them reach Andy, Andy's agency prepared someone to welcome them and take them to the gathering. Andy's agency has also responded on the death of the father and has given donations to them. They said that they cannot agree to their "improper demands" but has responded to every request that can be done within their power.
