Why do boyz love to pose on couch like this and stare at you like that, I know it's endearing but for these two, it's like battlefield in my mind~
Nevertheless... I heart 'em~ It's somewhat a way of telling me, hey I'm not the only one, there's the other one you've been neglecting for the past few weeks.
I even dreamt of Panget twice this morning. WTH?
Rumor has it that Down with Love (Starring Jerry Yan and Ella) will finish its shooting on the 14th... weh? That's tomorrow lah! It took them a long time to finish the series, I think the series started shooting last May and it's been almost 4 months! Anyway, another news I've caught up with nbbbs was that Jerry wasn't even nominated in the Golden Bell Awards this year. Neither one in Hotshot nor Starlit. I don't know if I should say it but there's something still lacking in Hotshot. But in Starlit, I believe he did well and should've been at least nominated. I saw some headlines that a director commented how it's not fair that Jerry wasn't even included in the nomination for GBA. Well, if it's not meant for him, it won't be his. He just has to try harder because he hasn't gained much attention in Taiwan compared to the other countries in Asia. He was on hiatus for almost 2 years after The Hospital, you can't blame the public, right?
I might be comparing too much of Jerry and Jay but it's the real deal:
During the Golden Melody Awards, Jay has been trying very hard to please the awards show, trying to keep up to his own style of music and submissively waiting for an acknowledgement from GMA. From the Jay Album to Ye Hui Mei, he has been waiting, but he never won. When he wrote wai po, that was the time he gave up waiting, he said he'll do his own style and will live by his own world. He need not receive an award to attain what he aspired. Years after, he's being neglected by the Golden Melody Awards not until Porcelain Vase, but that's just a song. He's been trying to get the Best Album award and some other major categories. So, this year, they suddenly wanted Jay on the show, nominated him as well. But, Jay has committed himself to another show in Beijing, he's a busy cowboy yah know... So Jacky Cheung was in place of him (I believe that was the case 'coz Jacky wasn't informed up until the last few days before the awards night is going to take place.) That was a few days before I went to Taiwan and the awards night was a few days after I came back to Manila from Taiwan.
Eventually, Jay didn't win the award and rumors spread that he didn't give 'face' to GMA. But it was obvious that he really was committed to another show. He then released a statement: "If they have decided for me to win, I'll win even if I don't show up!"
So, same case with Jerry, he is a dark horse, but GBA doesn't realize it. They're very old fashioned with the usual cheesy dramas Taiwan has produced after Meteor Garden. They are patterned stories and same casting again and again. They're not open to new storylines, they are threatened so to speak. Then maybe some sabotage from others trying to put Jerry down, negative atmosphere always befalls on Jerry. So I don't care about the damn GBA, As for Jerry, I hope he can show GBA what he is capable of.
As Andy Lau once said when he finally won his Best Actor award for Infernal Affairs III: "I've won many awards in my life but the most important category in a particular Awards show is the one I've been waiting for 23 years." 23 Years was how long he has been in the industry, it took him 23 years to finally tell himself that he has done it. Grabe... I'm so proud of him when he said that. 23 years. KUDOS diba? Anyway he treated his fans to dinner ata after the Golden Horse Awards that night.
AMEN.
Finishing my bag of Chicharon over SMAP's techno-SUPERSTAR song. *lol* I can't stop laughing with this song. So weird. I'll stick with SOKYU (Sotto Kyutto).
P.S. I think I have to do a major overhaul on my site. I'm getting dizzy with it with my new google chrome browser, the damn thing isn't aligned!
