The other night Charlie's Jake came over and I finally got to meet him. He seems like a nice guy. He behaved himself while I was there, didn't pee on the furniture or throw poo or anything. *snerk* And he's a cat person, which is always a good thing, considering the amount of cats currently in the building. Speaking of cats, I passed the kittens on to Charlie for a while. Joint babysitting custody or something, just bear with me on that one. There's only so many kittens I can chase at once. Anyway, I'm happy for Charlie, mostly. Maybe he can finally relax.
On Wednesday I decided I wasn't going to sit around the apartment feeling sorry for myself, so I called up the girlfriend and took her to Dublin's for some of the green beer. It wasn't as fun as I'd hoped it would be. Sure, I can still get down and boogie with the best of them (not), but it wasn't what I wanted to be doing. Or rather, it wasn't who I wanted to be doing it with. So we hung out for a bit, danced some, drank some of the beer, she listened to me throw myself a pity party, then we called it a night. I think she deserves a medal.
Of course, now I'm happy, for the obvious reasons. Gotta love a man who will fly 15 hours both ways to spend two days with you. <3 I'm sure Charlie's happy we're out of his hair for the weekend too. We've been holed up at Orli's loft since yesterday. Maybe you'll get a smutdate later. But don't hold your breath. ;)
I woke up early today, it being Saturday, but then remembered MST3K is still off the air, and I got sad. I need to start buying the DVD's.
It feels like I haven't talked to
Deb in weeks. :(
Later today we're heading to Dominic's for lunch, and kind of a miniature Sliders/LotR reunion of sorts. I'm looking forward to that, it should be fun.
