I caught an episode of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys on tv the other day. Renee was playing the perky camp counselor that turned out to be BS, the head of the production company, as played by Salmoneus (someone fill me in on his real name?). Anyway, I cracked up when I heard Renee's character explain someone's crankiness as "just hasn't been the same since Ginger left the group." That is funny to me in more than one way.
Orli's off to the Caymans to act in another movie. I swear, I told him the world would not end if he passed on this one, but he's a workaholic, don't let him tell you any different.
There's been some talk about the return of Crossing Jordan. It's not an easy situation. Everyone understood that Jill's pregnancy could not have been written into the show. It goes against everything. And you can't shoot around her because she's in practically every scene and what are you going to do, do closeups all the time? That might have worked for Dr. Crusher, but not for Jordan Cavanaugh. But then there was an agreement that she would return in January. We all understand that giving birth is a tough job, I don't even pretend to imagine. We're willing to accomodate to a certain point. But there's also the fact that there's jobs on the line. If a series is on the shelf too long, it may never come back out, particularly on a network. So it's up in the air. It's a case of everyone is right and everyone is wrong. And hanging on this is also the possibility that Sunset Division may get a shot.
I'm not going to stress over it. I've never had a problem getting work. Getting good work, that's another story, but work I can do. I really do hope I can keep Woody, though. I like him. I get to wear a suit and everything.
In somewhat-not-related news, there's something brewing in the Farscape camp, but the press conference that was announced was suddenly put off. I would like to see the show return, but only if they don't pull a fifth-season-of-Sliders sort of thing. I heard the cast is all on board, but who knows these days? Things change overnight in this business.
