Review of the Microtek MH-210 MP3 player

Mar 07, 2007 14:18

Purchased here : http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=MH-210&cat=MP3

Ok, Geeks.com shipped it fast. I appreciated that. They also processed my RMA fast, good site to deal with.

So the review and why I'm returning it:

It is a neat little player. It does pictures and MP3s and all BUT -

No matter how many songs you put on it’s 20gb HDD, you have to have them in the ONLY Playlist it plays from. That playlist will only hold 100 entries! OMGWTFBBQ?!?!?

So if it was able to play and shuffle the thousands of songs I put on it, I would be happy. But it cannot and so it goes back.

I’m not ready to give in to apple just yet.. Maybe but I’m fighting hard to avoid iTunes just because I hate it.

Anyone out there have any experience with the Zune or the Creative players?

COWON is cool but a friend I know who has one has some issues with a few minor things so I’m not going with that.

I’m really only interested in a player with good battery life, dependability, play options. I do not care about buying music online or any crap like that.

I feel the Black Hole of Apple trying to suck me in and I may give in but not until I look around some more. BTW,I heard Ipod Hard drives die in a year. Is that true? Anyone have experience with that?

Thanks.
