3 weeks in Spain (September to Remember)...Seville

Dec 26, 2011 00:34

We did a lot in Madrid and Segovia, but Seville was such a different experience. A smaller city, which just as much history...and the food was cheaper but amazing! I loved the people that we met in Sevilla, and although we only spent a few days in this small city...it's a place that was one of my greatest highlights in Spain.

In front of the Real Alcazar...

I think we had Jamon Iberico almost every day...if only we could take that stuff home!!!

Catedral de Sevilla is the third largest cathedral in the world...

...supposedly it's the place where Christopher Columbus was buried.

...I can't keep up with Jess...

...we climbed 30+ floors to get to the top of the cathedral...

...to get views like this!

Seville is such a cute city...where all the streets are the size of allies.

This plaza was freakin huge and beautiful...Plaza de Espana...

...this plaza is just endless!

No joke...it was 39 degrees Celsius...for you Americans...that's 102 degrees Farenheit...

Inside the Real Alcazar...cool thing about all these places in Sevilla is that they are all within walking distances from each other. Just remember when you're booking a hotel to book near these places. It was so convenient...

The Muslim detailing in the Real Alcazar was quite impressive...

...more details of the arches within this palace...

...freaking gorgeous, eh?...

...the outdoor garden at the palace...

Say cheese.....after 5 hours inside this place. I was done after 30 minutes...Jess was photographing all the fine details in this place. Looking back...I'm glad she did!

At night, we caught the neighbourhood Flamenco show...

The night time shots of this city was amazing. The lighting and everything around this city gave us many vivid and beautiful pictures...

Octopus with smoked paprika...a popular dish...

...along with their gambas (shrimp)...

...cured tuna...

...and of course...the star with every meal...Jamon Iberico...

...how about a fried quail egg on top of Jamon Iberico...ok...I know I'm obsessed with this stuff...

Sites, food, night time and the people of Sevilla made these few days amazing. Next stop...Granada!
