When I finally tried to post this, then entry was gone. Mmm, crow.
God-awful moderation. This has almost convinced me we do have an issue with moderation and we probably should split. I've seen other badly moderated groups die.
Frankly, I'm pleasantly surprised that the mod has allowed for the repost
She did? I don't think so. Usually, everyone has posting access without moderator intervention but the moderator may change things afterwards. So the post was simply made by someone not explicitly banned.
There's clearly a need for this discussion now that deletions have become more routine.
I don't mind deletions of awful posts. I do mind moderators stifling discussion about the future of the group, as this moderator is now clearly doing.
I would like for the moderator to be an active member of the community rather than the left hand of whatever.
I don't care about that. As long as the moderator is impartial and can be trusted (and the charter is not too bad).
BTW, you are aware of the existence of abstract_minds, aren't you?

Obviously, you are, 'cause you're a member.
ntpersonality is only three times as big by "watched" count. If the main posters all just move their threads there, it's probably NT comm. #2 in no time... :)-
We had a lot to say, and I think the value of the comments far outweighed the value of the either post [which was very little, and I sort of resent being quoted]
Obviously. And I don't believe that this was not clear. This is just an attempt of controlling the situation no matter what. I resent that.
And groups really do go to hell when the interesting posters leave and the level keeps dropping. Seen it before. Don't need a replay.
Having an active mod would help me figure out whether or not to trust them =)
I see. =) Having clearer rules and procedures, so you can follow what is going on and why might help, too. =)
As for abstact_minds, I haven't really dug into it yet. It's pretty quiet and I'm not really one for posting my poetry, but we'll see.
It's not very good so far, no. But that's a matter of posting, I think. Poetry? That sounds interesting. :) But only post what you want to post.

Shall I write my love song?
Write it for whom?
I can write a love song
And sing it in tune.
A song of the ages,
A tale of the heart,
As told by the Sages,
With lyre or with harp.
In the nobleman’s hall,
Or the yeoman’s farmyard,
Round the traveller’s campfire,
Sing the songs of the Bard.
And down through the aeons,
Rediscovered anew,
They all sing my love song
And know that it’s true.
What difference to hear then?
Can we all afford?
To write a new love song,
When it happens love calls?
If love is pure
And abideth forever,
And changes not,
Though storms us do sever.
Then the song is the same.
It’s the tune that we hear
In so many variations
With laughter or tear.
So, here is my love song.
I will sing it for the one
Who has never had a love song.
To whom love has never come.
For when heart sick or lonely,
All beings need a sign
That they are loved by someone.
So here is love - take mine.
D.
(Well, it was the best I could do on the 'plane!)
