Ranting time
I want everybody that can read this to boycott every Mapco convienent store. Here's what they do.
If you debit at the machine and buy $35 worth of gas they take out $50. In a couple of days once they know you have the $35 for gas than they give you your $15 back. If you have $40 on your debit card and you only want $20 worth of gas to make it until the end of the week than you can't get it at Mapco. Since they take out $50 no matter how much gas you get your card will be declined since you have less than $50.
Ok I went there Sunday to get gas. I usually just pay at the pump because I end up getting $45 in gas and since they take out $50 I can live with the $5 extra for a couple of days. I stick my card in and get ready to pump. Before I start pumping I remember the $50 rule they have and since I wasn't in a hurry I decided to cancel the "pay at the pump" service and pay inside and keep the money in my account. I also was only buying about $20 to top it off and having $30 out of my account for 2 days is a big difference compared to $5.
I cancel the purchase, restart the pump, and now the pump is waiting on the person inside to start me up. 5 minutes later it's still on the "Please wait a moment" screen. I decide to walk in and see if I needed to prepay even tho the sign on the pump said prepay 10pm -6am. (It was noon)
Both of the doors are locked and I cannot get in and the customers cannot get out. The person working had to go in the back and locked the doors from her little booth. That pissed me off enough to leave and not get gas there. Notice I did not purchase any gas. Today I find out that not only do they take out $50 no matter how much gas you purchase but they take it out even if you swipe your card and than decide to CANCEL YOUR FUCKING PURCHASE!!!!! They now have $50 of my money in limbo for the next 2 days even tho I didn't get any fucking gas.
I didn't find that out until I used my card again to pay for Logan's today and didn't have enough money to cover it. I was soooo pissed. I am never going to shop at Mapco for any fucking thing ever again. Even if they become the only store to ever sell my favorite things and nobody else will sell them than I will find new favorite things because I hate them so bad.
Take my advice and never shop there if you know what is good for you.
