I'm making an 8-10 cd ultimate 80's collection...anyone that would like to contribute songs would be of great help. here's what i have so far (in alphabetical order, of course

Alright. Not to be pedantic, but I'll be pedantic. (Tiff's ideas are great, also!)
-Beasties. Brooklyn is good...why not Party?
-Billy Joel. Uptown Girl was one of my faves.
-Blue Oyster Cult. Sorry. That's 1976.
-The Cure. There's two or three others I would suggest, starting with Friday, Boys Don't Cry, others.
-Depeche Mode. Enjoy the Silence? 1990. People are People was 1984.
-Duran Duran. These guys were the shit back in the day. Why not Wolf or Reflex?
-Fat Boys. Title trax are so blah-se. Wipeout was sooo much cooler.
-Go West. That's Wishful Thinking if it's on that 80s list. It's 1992.
-Human League. Fascination. Even cooler if you had it on original Wax Trax vinyl.
-The Police. Magic is...eh compared to the songs off Synchronicity. Breath and Ring Around You Finger much better.
-Prince. Ya gotta reprezent da mazter.
-Richard Marx. I can't believe I'm going to comment on Richard Marx. I'd rather see Right Here Waiting for You. I can't believe I just said that. Sure, it's 1989, but that was HS dance material right there. I can't believe I just admitted that. Man, I'm old.
-Run DMC. WALK THIS WAY? Only the pioneer of today's Rap/Rock stylez. Speaking of, why not some Aerosmith?
-Spandeau Ballet. True. I know this...much is....true. Ah ha ha haaaa haaaa.
-Tears for Fears. You need to let it all out and Shout.
-Was (Not Was). Dude. For a mindwarp, download Jail. So awesome.
-Young MC. Bustin' Moves since 1990.

Jeez. I could go on and on and add some more and cut some more. But this is your list, not mine. I'll commend you for what you have, though. Good work.

blue oyster cult released 'burnin' for you' in 1981 on Fires of Unknown Origin.

the cure's 'friday i'm in love' was 1992. and i'm trying to keep it down to two songs at most per artist, so, boys don't cry lost.

you're right about depeche mode. i didn't even think to check it. but i hate people are people, so i might cut them altogther.

you're also right about go west.

it might end up having to be right here waiting for you for richard, because apparently noone on soulseek has shoulda known better.

shout has been on every damn 80's cd ever.

noone on slsk has any was(not was) or i'd check it out.
