I went to San Francisco this past weekend and it is too gorgeous. LA is just flat; San Francisco has dimension. SCTA (Student California Teachers Association) conference was fun as well. Yay for magnifying my voting power through unions and preparing myself to meet the needs of my future students as a prospective educator. The cold bay area weather is attractive. I won't get hypothermia but I won't get skin cancer either. I'm drawn to Berkeley's urban environment. You're on your own now. Nobody cares about you. The BART station makes it possible to live in NorCal without a car, which is too neat. Though Berkeley has its busy spots, it also has its chill spots, which is more my style. Berkeley reminds me of my HOOD back when I used to live in LA. HAHAHAHA. Berkeley has so much history and natural beauty.
I went to the UCLA conference last Tuesday and I'M IN LOVE. Everybody walked around like they own their lives. Nobody had slouched posture. Everybody walked with confidence and direction. The architectural style is too extraordinary. The campus reminds me of a much larger UCI with a more sophisticated style. Their language department is too amazing. I was looking at all the foreign language courses and my counselor said I looked like a kid in a candy store. HINDI, ARABIC, & TAGALOG! YEEEEEEEEE. Everyone's so busy though. Time passed by way too fast on that campus. I'd like some siesta time for a saunter without feeling the structural effects of powerwalking. The traffic gave me a headache. UCLA would be my first choice if only it were a little dirtier. I feel out of place in Westwood. I don't know if I would be able to have fun at UCLA. It feels really stressful up in that joint.
I hope I get accepted to either one though. Just applying is a big step for me. When have I had this much confidence? How about never.
I just saw the trailer for SPIDER-MAN 3 and it looooooooks toooooooooo GOOOOD. AH! SPIDER-MAN V. VENOM. It's on son.
Mad TV taping tonight. TV tapings for fundraising? Only in southern California. My NorCal cousins think I live on magical ground because Disneyland's about 30 minutes away. They dislike the fact that they increase their chances of developing empyshema by being in SoCal. Screw you guys. I can go to the beach without getting frostbite. HAHAHA.
It's November and everything's piling up. Time to own the scholarships. Happy Veteran's everyone.
