That actually makes sense when you realize that I purchased ISBN codes that belong to me, rather than the free ones that belong to Smashwords. Mind you, I probably would have had some more sales if I'd had the sense to release the free edition of the first story simultaneously with the complete book. As it is, while I've had nearly 800 downloads of the free story, the number of daily DL's has been dropping steadily to barely 30 a day now.
