So depressing yet so funny

This is much more fun if you have heard the original song (by Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas) and/or have seen the original video. My Humps, arranged, acted and sang by Alanis Morissette; pay close attention to the lyrics if you haven't done it before:

Ahaha, awesome! I was looking for this! I saw it some time ago and lost the link. I remember watching it the first time and BOGGLING, lol. It's a very brilliant parody, but even by itself, it's awesome.

You're welcome. The parody is really W.T.F. if you don't know the original song, isn't it? Like, what the hell is this woman thinking?! Hilarious. But once you compare it to the original ... XD

Well, I knew the original. How could I not, when they were playing it on the radio more or less 24/7 *shudders at memory*. The person who pointed that Morissette vid out to me didn't know it, though, and when I told her it had to be a parody she was all like, oh! Right! It all makes sense now! Lol ;).

This is Canadian humor at its very best. Lol.

I got the Black Eyed Peas CD as a gift last year, and eventually gave it to my brother. The funny part is that yesterday I played the parody video in my laptop, and asked him if he recognized the lyrics; he wasn't looking at the screen. He couldn't, but his English is not good so it didn't coun't, right ( ... )

Hee. Well, I actually do have one BEP CD. It was a gift, too, but I did like their Shut Up song they did a while back. Well, like is maybe the wrong word. I'm usually totally not into their genre, but that Shut Up song simply wouldn't let me go - it drove me mad; it was playing everywhere on the radio and I kept humming it to myself and just couldn't stop, lol. And so my sister gave me the CD *gg*.

This song, however, had me covering my eyes in embarrassment the first time I heard it. I was like, omfg, what the hell is that? And it really, really annoyed me - I don't know, the rhythm, whatever it was, drove me crazy, and not in the sort-of-interesting way the Shut Up song did. I laughed and laughed when I saw the Alanis Morissette vid *gg*.

The original really is mind-boggling, though, once you get past all that twitchy maddening rhythm stuff and actually listen to the lyrics. I don't wanna know what made them write that song. It's just so... wrong? Lol.
