An important question

Why the hell has Planchet a raw fish in the end? Why the hell was there a raw whole fish in the party? Were they going to prepare Sushi?? Oh, oh, I get it: they were going to cook it right there, right? Like flambe crepes. Of fish.

Alas, the second part of the movie was still awful. The worst was seeing the potential, here and there. And recognizing the parts of the book they butchered, too. Augh, oh so horrible. They spread the story so thinly that things did not made sense. The characters were not even two-dimensional, but one-dimensional.

Aramis and Porthos were the best, of course. As for the women, I liked Queen Anne, the actress was fairly good. The king made me cringe, but the actor played his part well, I guess, within the parameters of the character they gave him. Rochefort actor was the worst among the principals, I guess, and I don't like what they made of his character. The Cardinal could have been better. I wouldn't have missed Planchet had he not appeared. And they make a travesty with Athos plotline, argh, argh, argh.

And of course, I absolutely hated D'Artagnant. I'm not sure how much of it is the acting, but surely the lines he gave him, the terrible traits (that I guess were supposed to win him teenage fans or something?),how everything is about him. I mean, the movie's name is The Three Musketeers, not The Adventures of D'Artagnan.

And that second ship was awfully decorated, seriously ...

ETA: Also, we needed that scene with the Cardinal swordfighting why??

ETA2: Porthos first scene was awesome :D. So was his fighting without drawing out his sword :D :D
