OK. Glad this day is done. (Work day.) After getting virtually no sleep, I slogged through the day. I can't work on automatic pilot yet, because this is a new temping position. And I need to be on top of it. Unfortunately, I was more like around the edges of it.
But I went for a walk after work in Riverside Park, which is across the "LA River" (a concrete trench with water in it) and the 134 Freeway (a concrete trench with traffic in it) from Griffith Park.
It was refreshing, and that makes TWO WALKS, TWO DAYS IN A ROW. I've been so busy for the past two weeks, and what with the rain, I just haven't been getting out at all. I think THAT'S why I got sick yesterday.
But now I'm at Granada, a great Mexican restaurant on Victory Blvd in Burbank where they have two for one meal deals on Monday and Tuesday nights. A group of friends and I have made it our regular stomping grounds on Tuesday nights, but I need to vote tomorrow night, so we moved it to Monday this week.
I still have not made a decision about voting tomorrow. I was for Edwards. There's a great piece in salon.com today that summarizes one particular woman's indecision about the vote tomorrow, and I have to admit that I feel similar (and similarly complicated) emotions about the decision right now. Here's a link to that article. You may get a full page ad. If so, wait 30 seconds, and then a little "Enter Salon" sign will appear in the upper right corner. Click that, and it should deliver you to this page.
