Something funny happened to me last Friday.
However I am here to tell you about something else.
My friend Simon, who is a fellow IT specilist in my teaching course, and myself are looking to move into a house or flat next year for uni. We both thought it would be a good idea to include a third person in this deal, and he mentioned me that he knew someone called Keith who was also looking. Having not met Keith, I thought it would be a good idea for the three of us to meet up and see how we felt about it all.
Simon hadn't arranged this meeting as of last Friday and as such nothing further had happened.
Bishop to C4
I am going on placement in three weeks. Annoyingly this means I can no longer play badminton every Friday afternoon wth the Uni. Last Friday I was talking to a friend of mine at badminton and mentioned that I was not going to be able to come after three weeks because of the forthcoming placement and that if we wanted a game we would have to meet up over the weekend. My badminton collegue took an interest in this and asked me what I was doing on my course etc. After having explained what I was doing, he said that he knew someone called Simon who was doing the same course and that they were looking to move in together in September. He also mentioned that Simon had said something about meeting some guy called Jeremy who could also move in.
The penny dropped.
Unbelievably, I had met Keith on the first week of university last September and had been having epic badminton matches since then.
So I now have two other people I know and like to move in with in September. The only tough part now is finding a house to accomodate us.
And now for something completely different
In closing for today's entry, I thought I'd mention the current status of my badminton tournament with my new chum Barney.
Current scores: COTTON vs ENGLEHART - 5-7 6-3 4-6 6-1 10-10*
An epic 5th set is in progress here and I have no clue as to who will win this round!
I am playing at 7.30pm tonight so will update on the scores after.
Until next time
