Good news! But it doesn't really change much, because embryonic stem cells NEVER came from embryos created for that purpose but from the massive stockpile of embryos frozen but never likely to be used. In other words, embryos effectively dead unless a costly and probably immoral in itself (since there are too many of them for this to probably be voluntary) mass implantation of them into women were to occur. A stockpile that keeps growing, since these embryos are also 'property' of the individuals whose DNA they contain.

So whatever position anyone takes on these issues, stem cell research is a sideshow involving trivial numbers of embryos as compared to the hundreds of thousands that are 'banked' away.
