I'm moving to Micronesia in july to teach high school (english most likely). So hang out with me copiously for the next five months. sometimes it's really hard not to let the negative cruel people in the world get you down. not to hear or read their insensitive words intended to hurt and be hurt by them. it's near impossible. but I guess in the end you just have to feel a little bit bad for them. pity them for the fact that they need to tear others down in any way they can to ( Read more... )

We just watched this in my gender issues class. And while it makes use of a common cliche (the travelling gnome) I think it does so poignantly. It's one of those films that says alot without being blatant or obvious about it. anyway it's like 12 minutes and worth watching. I thought I'd share it in the hopes you all feel the same.
