Don't say the zombie folks "got off" on it. That's sorta creepy.
Regarding the hostel: -The shared restroom on our floor was fine. It was sufficiently clean (although the floors did get a little damp during the morning, when everyone would have been showering, but that was just water and therefore not too creepy), our shower was not broken, and not a single cockroache in sight. I think you're on crack.
-They had e-mailed everyone who was booked that the elevator is malfunctioned and scheduled to be repaired. Pretty far in advance. And the guy downstairs offered to help people who had more than one bag, as they had to use the stairs, which I thought was rather nice.
-Only one stairwell out of ALL of them needed repair. All the others were very nice. And that one was not in "desperate need". It was not unsafe, it was simply in needed of sanding and then painting.
-Boo on the manager, then. He should be happy, he was booked to capacity, I'd bet, which is good money. A non-profit that needs a couple thigns repaired should be so lucky as to get that extra money in. At least the rest of the staff was very nice.
-You forgot the free ice cream on Wednesday, and the free pancakes every morning.
To be fair, I should have said public "restroom" as in singular, not plural. But still, that cockroach was very happy to see me. So I guess that speaks well for the hostel staff. Even the vermin are friendly!
