(no subject)
don't ya just love summer?! sleeping, (a lot) going to movies, going to the pool, seeing family, being with friends all the time, being at church.......
i'm not looking foward to going back to school at all...i have had such an amazing summer already ~ kamp kool, kristen's lake, hotties party, mission philly, beach, paperview and pizza, 'super summer!!', going to mississippi, shari's wedding, going to lara's and hearing "THE SECRET".....haha
hotties - had a great time the other night!! fun times...
so i haven't posted just about anything in a while so i'll say a few words about philly...(if i can put it in a few words) God taught me some amazing things while in philly...mostly about being in the "real world" and sharing my faith...i taught teenagers in downtown philly...let me tell ya about a whole different world...those kids have experienced things i can't even imagine, and yet somehow most of them have retained some thread of innocence..it was amazing talking with them and hearing about their lives and then sharing the gospel with them.....God really gave me some hands-on experience sharing my faith and getting rejected....those of you who went on the trip know the story of how 20 minutes literally changed my life talking to one kid...
i think God has really changed my friends alot this summer too!! lara went to Ukraine, rebecca & jo went to peru, kristen went to thailand, caroline went to arizona - we have all been really spread out!! its great hearing what God taught them this summer and swapping stories!
next year is gonna be great!
