I finally have an LJ!
hey ya'll...ok so i FINALLY have an LJ. thanks to all the people that have been bugging me about it! So kristen and i spent forever trying to figure out how to put a picture of me on here, and i figured it out after a while of trying.
so you are probably wondering why my name is 'jeremiahproject'. well, it is based on my Bible study on the book of Jeremiah. if you have never read the first few chapters of jeremiah, you are missing out. basically, God called jeremiah to be a "prophet to the nations". jeremiah then responds by saying that he doesn't know how to speak and doesn't know what to say because he is so young.
"But the Lord said to me, 'Do not say, 'I am a youth' Because everywhere I send you, you shall go. And all that I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,' declares the Lord." (1:7-8)
Jeremiah was then sent out to deliver the people of Israel. (that is not a big job or anything....) Jeremiah was sent to deliver the people
"concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have forsaken Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their
own hands." (1:16)
wow, if that doesn't sound like the world today, i don't know what does. so, in a way, i am kinda my own jeremiahproject. i can't imagine anything i would want to do more than to be a "prophet to the nations." however, the best part about it is in verse 19- "They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you,' declares the Lord."
