(In the paper the next day):
A motorcycle crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were
on it, but only one survived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy
realized that his breaks broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead,
he had her say she loved him & felt her hug one last time, then had her wear
his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die"
Well i replied to this and it got deleted. So i will post my reply to Carlyns journal on my journal so she wont delete it...
This is pretty much the stupidest story i have ever heard. And here is how i come to that conclusion....
There is no way that the boy accually loves the girl because:
1. The guy is riding with her on the back of a motorcycle doing over 100 miles per hour. He must not care about her health too much or else he would not risk her life like that. Oh and dont forget to mention the fact that he did not ask the girl to wear a helmet before she got on.
2. There are about 3 ways to stop a motorcycle without brakes. He could have just downshifted through all the gears and that will bring you to a stop. He could have just cut the engine off and drug their feet until they came to a stop. a motor cycle when not cranked comes to a slow roll pretty fast, trust me because me and john ran out of gas on once and had to push one. He could have just slowed down and ran into the grass so as not to hit the random building that he saw but still hit only after having a full conversation. and dont forget the fact that his girl friend, who was already hugging him because she is on the back of a bike (so no need for the will you hug me question), had time to take his helmet off and put it on her self. but she didnt notice the building that is getting closer everysecond that he has no time to swerve and miss.
3. And this is the part that really gets me. how did the newspaper know everything that the boy was thinking just before he died?

he must have lived long enough to tell the reporters that arrived after they hit a building doing over 100. but its ok because the girl survived because she was wearing a helmet? i dont really thing a helmet would help if you hit a wall on a motorcycle doing 101 mph.
that is all i have to say and sorry for this carlyn but you should have just left my reply up. the origional reply was a lot less detailed.
i mean no offence by n e of this i just think the story is kinda dumb and not well thought out.
