So I get my MRI done last Thursday and receive a call on friday saying that my doctor wants to send me to an orthapedic specialist because they found (get this medical mumbo jumbo)...cartilage defects in the weight bearing portions of my knee. I don't know what the fuck that means but it doesn't sound good, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

What it means (at least, what I can make of it) is that the part of your knee that supports your body weight the most has a problem. Cartiledge can be replaced, they do it all the time. How simple it is, I don't know. I have some knee problems myself, so I can totally sympathize how much it hurts & sucks. I don't know what doctor(s) you have been going to, but if you ever want/ need a second opinion, I will gladly give you the name of the guy I saw. He's pretty familiar with my family, as most of us have bad knees and have seen the guy, lol. The only drawback is he's in West Palm Beach- don't know where your hometown is...
Take it easy man. :)
