The Aruba Island Rattlesnake.  One of the rarest rattlesnakes in the world.  Only ten square miles of relatively undisturbed habitat remain on Aruba. It is not known how many remain in the wild.  It is listed as threatened in the IUCN Red Data Book by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.  This snake is currently under a Species Survival Plan with the AZA.  I took this picture at the St. Louis Zoo.
