I'm not a gamer, not really. I like playing games, but the games I like are like Portal and World of Goo. But I've seen that Wii has some great party/group games that are fun to play. And it has all the classic Nintendo games, and maybe, just maybe I'd finally get good at Mario Kart. Mostly, I've heard fantastic things about the Wii fit from EA Sports, that it actually does help you work out, and since I've cancelled my gym membership and have been looking for an at-home alternative, that is appealing to me.
And finally, the only other game I'd play with any consistency is Rock Band.
Now, I do not have a lot of expendable income. Any console I guy is gonna be sort of an investment for me, and even getting games will be a slow-to-aquire process.
Now, here are my thoughts: 360 seems to have the best variety of games. PS3 is also a blu ray player (although I don't own any blu rays and am happy with my DVD player for the time being). Wii seems to be the most social...
If you were a, at best, semi-gamer, and were going to bother investing in your first since-you-were-a-kid-and-watched-your-brother-play gaming console, which would you go for? Would it be the Wii?
And is it possible to find one used or cheaper than the current retail price? Is that even advisable? Gamers and game players, help me out! What do you think?
