Overheard in the hallway between classes:

"Seriously, the public school system has failed me."

Taking into account who the student was that said it, and factoring in a myriad of other students I have heard say the same thing:

If you think the public school system has failed you in any way, you didn't utilize it the way you should have, and it's your own fault you're not ready for real life. There are so many programs readily available to students (and parents!) to make sure you are properly educated and prepared for the 'real world' that if you walk across the stage and get your diploma and still feel like you're not ready...

...it's your own fault. It's not the school board, it's not the administration, and it's certainly not the teachers who try their best every day to get you ready for that next step in your life. You were too lazy to take opportunities, and now you have to sleep in the bed you made. Suck it up, Buttercup.
