sorry for posting twice in a day, but i was bored and should probably have been writing instead, but i really wanted to do this :D

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?
yes, a LOT more. actually to be honest i never think about how much i'll write in a year or anything but that number really looks staggering to me and i feel kinda accomplished rn :D the words really add up lol
What’s your own favorite story of the year?
well tbqh favourite is really difficult because i have a soft spot for quite a few, but ig i'll go with kardia (even though some of it was written before 2012) because it was incredibly relieving and fulfilling for me when i finished smth of that length. literally the longest thing i have ever written, and i think i managed to draw out everything i wanted to when i first had the idea, so :D
i also really liked my su!fbb stuff - that drama is literally the worst thing that happened to me and i really liked how those two pieces ( matching (up) and 내 가슴에 불을 지펴봐) turned out and were chances for me to organise my jihyuk and hyunsoo headcanons.
for smth happy, because truly all i like is happy fic, saving superheroes bc it was so fun to write. i never felt like it was a chore to finish ever when i was writing it.
and though sixty-three million, one hundred and fifteen thousand and two hundred seconds was written right at the tail end of 2012, i like it a lot for being very accurately my xiuhan headcanon and also i liked how the tone turned out.
Did you take any writing risks this year?
yeah, into exo fandom tbh. it still intimidates me quite a bit, which is why i either never crosspost or fill stuff anon on seoulfulness, but yeah i find a lot of fun in writing them. i think they're incredibly difficult, too, which is why most of my exo stuff is nonsrsbsns fic (unlike, say, infinite or su!fbb)
other than that i wrote longfic!!!!! i truly struggle to hit more than 2k regularly, so the fact that i held on to an idea that i knew was going to be monstrous (by my standards, ok) and stuck with it all the way was a risk in its own respect, ig~
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
not really, other than remember to enjoy writing. i found this difficult in 2012 where everything seemed like a chore instead of smth i want to do, hence a little hiatus in my writing, but rn it's picked up and i hope this stays :D

kardia..? idk about technically but i really tried with the relationship dynamics of this fic, and also to pace the plot well. i also tried to have more variety and be more nuanced in my narrative, so i think that worked out.
also my su!fbb fic, for the character introspection.

....this is really difficult because the reply 1997, infinite, sufbb and exo fandoms are totally incomparable in size, and i didn't crosspost most of my exo fic lol but within exo it's probably i'll follow you until you love me lol, or sixty-three million, one hundred and fifteen thousand and two hundred seconds. within infinite i think it's kardia~
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

saving superheroes, despicably good for the most part (editing was pretty painful), kyungsoo versus the world and i'll follow you until you love me and get your flash on. perhaps not so coincidentally all of the crack fics n___n
also my su!fbb fics because i really, really wanted an avenue to channel my su!fbb feels into and those did it.
Story with the single sexiest moment:
i only wrote 2 porn fics this year, but i don't think either of them are very good, so :(
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
basically i go into a fic with a more or less clear idea of how the characters are like in my head, so idt this is applicable.... but if it's the same thing the fics in the favourite section helped me organise my perceptions of the characters.
Hardest story to write:
kardia, by far, because it is so long, and also despicably good because of the same reason, though it was fun to write. kardia had me stuck for the longest time figuring out how i needed to lay out the ending and i almost gave up lol
Most Unintentionally Telling:
???? i don't really get this question but ig sixty-three million, one hundred and fifteen thousand and two hundred seconds bc it was really meant to be xiuhan, but turned out to be kind of lu han and minseok character study instead. oops
Biggest Disappointment:
it's not posted, but a infinite drug/mafia au wip lol i kind of liked how i started it, but then it fizzled into nothing and i just couldn't finish it :( along with a heartbroken chanyeol (re: chansoo) and separately a kai-centric fic that i started but never progressed to anything more than one scene zzzzzzzzz
Biggest Surprise:
i really never expected i'll follow you till you love me to be so popular, lol. i told potaoto that i think i fucked it up when i first finished it, lol but oh well. tbh i thought most of the fics i wrote around then (also reply 2008: start over, the art of subtlety and lovebug) were chicken shit lol (still do) :(
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
exo, because in january i was still laughing over the bazillion teasers.

Sometimes, even after all this while, Junhee’s still amazed at how he’s staring at Yoonjae’s face like this, in a most correct, non-creepy context, with Yoonjae’s feet tangled in his because Yoonjae likes Junhee, not because Yoonjae likes his feet warm.

In superhero land, it’s not actually a bed of roses. Flying really tenses all your muscles so you get incredible aches all over after, and that outfit is tight as hell. Plus flying while you’re in that outfit is doubly difficult.

Thirteen trailers and the frontline of EXO don’t come easily; Kyungsoo knows that second-hand.
- when you say nothing at all
"Yes it is,” Chanyeol says behind, "you're taking pictures of me in the shower!"

Dongwoo takes Woohyun’s hand in his, lacing their fingers, and when Dongwoo wakes up the next morning and Woohyun finally extricates his hand from Dongwoo’s, jamming them into the pocket of his hoodie, Dongwoo finds the scarlet outline of Woohyun’s fingers traced between his knuckles, muted and apologetic.

A part of himself doesn’t understand why he’s holding on to a promise when he’s the only one.

When he’s walking back home, kicking littered cans on the street, Hyunsoo suddenly recognizes that Byunghee speaks with a confidence, an independence that, he later realises, is miles away from the defensiveness he had been putting on himself.
