Cathy and I, while watching ST:TNG, realized something very exciting. The episode is the first time that we get to see what Geordi sees- the chaotic swirl of information. Geordi has hooked up his visor remotely to the ship so that the bridge can see what he sees when they're on an away mission. Cathy makes the observation- "why did they do that when they could just... send a camera?"
That's when we realized that their tricorders are less sophisticated than our (used in the royal societal 'we') iPhones.
Much giggling did ensue.
