The Good

The good today comes from an unexpected source- Microsoft. Some time ago, they released a program called "Songsmith." While marketed as a way for you to sing and then have an artificial sounding band play back up to your own tune, the webz have taken it and used it as a humorous replacement for many *actual* songs with *actual* singers. For instance, Britney Spears' "Toxic" becomes... Britney Spears covering Margaritaville. While the video now creates all sort of cognitive dissonance to the music, the vocals flow well with the music- which is the point. The music tags to the vocals, but it does so with a strange sort of intelligence that sounds... *just* off. However, and the reason this is a good thing, sometimes it comes together in a way you just don't expect. Ladies and gentleman, presenting, once again, Mr. Marvin Gaye...

(Note- save yourself the trouble and pain. "Buddy Holly" by Weezer and Songsmith doesn't work.)

As bad as they're treating poor poor Jenna, Mo the Muslim gets it even worse. Still, if we learn nothing else from those that want to stamp out difference and enforce one uniform mode of thought and belief, we learn that their arguments are really easy to counter. Know thy enemy, I suppose.
