ummmmmmmmm

so, i have it on good authority, that we as torontonians are quite complacent when it comes to hanging out at a local cafe / hotspot.
Still among strangers, we feel safe enough to leave our bags unattended, or hang our purses on the backs of our chairs... alright alright, guys are guilty too, but with backpacks and jackets

When we go to ANY Metropolis out side of Canada we look over our shoulders, we are weary of those who would go so far as to cut our jeans pocket to get our wallets.
Even in small towns we fear for our possessions.

sure you can look at it 2 ways,
1 they are just possesions... and hey maybe that person needed them more than me
2 um, still in a public place, surrounded by people we don't know, why would we think we are safe?

yes, I know, I don't want to be afraid when I walk around either
But the truth is it's not about being afraid, it's about being aware.

You would if you were anywhere else in the world wouldn't you?

i am procrastinating... how about you?
