Please f-lock your posts..

*sigh* I advice everyone to make posts f-locked from now on because one of the girls I banned for the drama a couple of days ago (at least I am sure it is one of them and I think I know which one exactely) posted our url in the forum of torwart.de and even started to harress one of the posters who apparently also visits the forum of the fanpage and ( Read more... )

Hmmmm. I'm not really fond of the idea of f-locking everything by default. Of course if you have an open - or rather not fully closed community as in the case of jensdefense - there are always going to be fights from time to time. But this can also happen if the community is fully closed. And I always think that maybe there are some Jens fan out there who'd really like it here who are never going to find and join us because everything is locked. If I imagine it was me looking for info about something I'm into, then I'm not very likely to try and join a place where I can't simply have a look around first and see what it's all about, just because I'm curious this very instant. Yes, there is the community info and all that, but I think we'd basically be telling people to stay out instead of telling them: "Hey! Look what a cool place this is! Come and have fun with us!" Of course the nicht jugendfrei stuff should be locked and everyone who wants to lock her (or his) posts should do so. But I suggest we have a poll or something of the sort about this. I know this is basically your place and you put an awful lot of work into this and I really love it here, but I think it would be good if all the people who do regular postings could have a say in the matter. Is that alright with you?

Talking of polls: I didn't read the forum entry at torwart.de. If I get this right, someone tipped them that we did multi-voting? Okay, not nice of whoever it was to go there and tell them. But to be fair: Imagine the fans of any other goalie had found out how easy it was to manipulate the polls and were happily voting away, and then someone told torwart.de about it and they changed it so multi-voting is no longer possible. You couldn't really blame them, could you? And yes, I did happily multi-vote away *g*

To sum it up, and also in the light of recent events, I have to say I'm not fond of the idea of locking ourselves in. Of course it's not nice to have someone trolling around, but I guess it's just something we have to live with if we want to keep this community alive and open to new members.

I hope you understand this the way I mean it :o)

What you say and what I just wrote it's exactly what has me between two waters :/

In one hand I dislike the trolls very much, but in the other hand I think our support to Jens should still be public. Showing Jens Lehmann's good side it's the spirit of this community. Not to ourselves, because we already love and support the man, but for the others.

@Trampadoo: You don't have it easy, do you? :/

You know trolls hate daylight - so let's throw all the doors and windows wide open and let the light of the Lehmann shine! ;o)

Aaand I forgot to say: there can be people out there that are just starting to get to know Jens and are beginning to like him. Our comm it's very useful for showing them they have good taste ;)

"Aaah, so you're interested in the Jens. May we offer you a spoon of spicy super keeper soup? Or a delicious triple trouffle à la Andy & Oli? A very good choice, Ma'm, if I may say so!"

I have to think this over. I was planning to do an info post that everyone who comes here who is not a member yet will see and all the post that were not f-locked before will stay that way so they will still have access to tons of available stuff to see what we got to offer so to speak. ;) Maybe a poll would be a good idea though I have no clue about who most people here are and what they expect of this community and if they even care or whatever. *g*

Yeah, she kind of tipped them off about the multiple voting but that is not the thing because that had been done by people finding the tons of votes for Enke strange as well. The torwart-team knows about it and apparently it has been fone for other goalies before. Now voting can't be done every hour or so so I think that is fair. The thing is that Feli (and I am 100% sure it was her, don't ask why *g*) suggested that the supposed manipulation of the votes for Enke were just an imagination of the paranoid Jensfans and she thought by doing what she likes best, as in wagging the finger, she thought it would be great to expose us. *cackles* Even though it now turns out things were indeed fishy. And they probably were the last time when Enke was nominated as well. Because 100 votes within about 20 minutes, twice, with the changed voting system is simply impossible.

But that is not what really creeped me out. I don't want her to post links to unlocked fanfiction or any of the stuff that is in the lj community for a good reason and not on the fanpage in places it doesn't belong or something like because her ego has been ruffled. Dunno.

Well, it doesn't have to be a blind poll that's open to everyone. You could send e-mails to the, I dunno, 20 or so people who have been active here during the last few months, and see what they say. On top we could have a post where everyone in the community is asked to give their opinion on the matter. I doubt we'd get much feedback there though considering the number of comments to this post ;o)
