my FedEx job didn't last very long. but about as long as all my jobs have lasted.
im working for this target warehouse now, where i feel like im in some fucked up army ghetto.
there are some characters and we all run around this huge warehouse and do random jobs. there is no kind of organization, which is probably why i like it. its real random.
i was telling this kid he looked like the curly haired kid from hackers and this big black guy that does the verifying came in the conversation
"naw fragil rock, but mother fuckers welcome on the dirty south side, only if he gets rid of this shit" and he yanks out this little kitten stuffed animal out of the dudes shirt pocket and threw it behind him. fragil's all
"Oh No, is someone gonna steal my cornbread?" then the big black guy just kept talking, and i kept laughing at all the genious fucked up things he had to say about everything. almost everyone else that worked there was just as weird its great.
since we finnished a truck in under an hour we won a case of beer.
its all nine hours of this shit.
at lunch time you see people running fighting for the microwaves.
people steal peoples lunches.
our 15 minute breaks consist of splitting up in reefer groups. so the rest of the day is even better.
so i decided to go the next day.
its like clover park all over again. minus the old drunk guys, a girl can't walk past them with a cart without them offering to deliver it for you.
then theres the cart fetching game, the two lesbian black ladys always get a cart before anyone, for obvious reasons, they always come as a team its EXTRA scary, one has a gold tooth, and thats all... how do you end up with one tooth? theres lots of ways but... WHEN DO WE DECIDE TO MAKE IT GOLD?
theres this asian man that asks me for a cough drop everyday, after i offered him one the first day,and i found myself bringing them because i know he'l ask. i wish i could understand what the fuck he was saying half of the time. mostly i just smile and nod. not to pretend im listening... but because his voice is funny. i made sure we were friends because of it.
man im lame.
im sure this job will get old too but the enviroment is pretty amazing, it might take a second.
