ms. aphio is always fun to attend. i liked 5 of the talents, and man oh man, quang was one hot girl. oh and i'll admit that there were quite a few disturbing moments, but you couldn't NOT look. haha
orchestra concert last night was alright. i realized that this music in movies and television class has really allowed me to appreciate orchestral music. i love it. i really enjoyed the concert. now i want to watch an opera again. i think i'd appreciate it a WHOLE lot more than when i watched it that one time. and i enjoyed the opera when i went, so i'm pretty sure i'll love it even more because i have a better appreciation for it.
speaking of better appreciation for things... this art class that i'm taking with the best friend has allowed me to see art in a different light. it's pretty damn awesome when you can appreciate art on a deeper level.
and the moment you've been waiting for... or the thing that JT knows i have to always write about... boys and relationships. my two cents for the day:
*i'm single, and i think i have a right to feel crappy around the holiday season. c'mon with songs like [miss you most (at christmas time) - mariah carey] and [the only gift - nsync] how could you NOT be depressed being single? i want someone i can take home to my family parties during the holidays... i want someone to be by my side on my birthday. there i said it. i want someone to be thinking of me. i want them to want to hold my hand and take me out for my birthday. is that too much to ask?
but it's not like i want to get married any time soon... and kids? uhhh not now for sure. "babies are scary, okay? they have giant eyes... and c'mon... the soft spot? if there's going to be a self-destruct button, at least hide it somewhere it won't accidentally get pressed."
ok back to "birthday" talking... here's my wish list.
_dinner with friends
_vegas with AWESOME people ..even though a few awesomes can't make it :[
_family brunch
_a painting from friends who can paint.
and this is the part of the list that gets a little more materialistic:
_disneyland season pass WITH parking
_giftcards to... sephora, express, victoria secret, and h&m
_$$$ to help me buy my plane ticket and such for the retreat.
_a blue french horn
_tickets to various concerts!!!
_tickets to watch WICKED
_ikea shelves for my room
_sunglasses
...and when all else fails and u want to get me a gift, just remember to give me a gift receipt. haha
