The reason that the auger gears broke? No one put in grease in the gearbox. That falls under warranty, and we'll have to run over to home depot to get it. (probably in the next few days.)
Thanks to Julie, I now have Mythbusters season 5 to watch. (Though very skippy and jerky on the version of VLC that work with these files. My poor old 350 MHz G3...) Thanks, Julie!
