So the converter box stopped working for mom. We bought a new TV for her, so we wouldn't need a converter box. Just out of curiosity, I tried the old tv and converter box out in the garage, and suddenly, it worked again. *shrugs* I'll get a indoor antenna and I can have TV out in the garage! *giggles*
Grocery day, Laundry Day.
The hay was cut yesterday, and it was raked late this afternoon. Probably will be baled tomorrow.
Time for bed. *hugs*
She fell into a brown study, when she walked down the sidewalk.
Word of the Day for Tuesday September 3, 2013 brown study • \BROWN-STUD-ee\ • noun
: a state of serious absorption or abstraction
Did you know?
"Lack of company will soon lead a man into a brown study." Whether or not it's true, that 1532 admonition is the first known example that shows the "reverie" sense of "study" combined with "brown" (in the old and now rare sense of "gloomy"). Today, not all brown studies are "gloomy"-some are merely abstracted-but not, we hope, to the extent that provoked the editors of an encyclopedia of the 1950s to call it "a state nearly related to hypnosis and characterized by the ... arrest of bodily movement."
