"A peaceful man stands tall..."
Went to one of the big malls 90 minutes away from here for a little (pre-)birthday self-indulgence... Saw "Curse of the Golden Flower", which was interesting, but don't go expecting lots of martial arts (like I did XD;)... it's a royal-family drama a la "The Lion In Winter", or so says Andi who really hasn't seen a lot of movies in her time. XD I thought it was interesting and not bad, but it pales in comparison to things like CTHD or "Hero"... eep.
Having to catch a movie at a set time kinda puts a cramp in one's shopping, so I only bought 3 actual things, two of no real consequence and then
I feel comfy with my fondness for stuffed animals among my flist, most of which are doll people anyway XD; I have a smallish collection of critters.. specific things I go after are unusual mammals (or at least, unusual as "toys"... armadillo, possum... I really want an anteater..) and otters XD I also have a bear my aunt got for me when I was in the hospital a year ago who is the standard "dressup bear" size, but she's definitely been dubbed a girl...
...so I went to Pawsenclaws in the mall to get myself a boy XD; Pawsenclaws is like Build-a-Bear, basically... you pick an animal (they must have like 40 different types...) to stuff, you can give it a soundbox (i didn't ;) if you want... you give it a "heart" (just a cute token of "friendship", "happiness", etc.), have it stuffed (hahahahaha giant stuffing dispenser machine), dress it up, and name it. It's plushie FCS!
O' course, I didn't know all those details going in, so I got the honor of feeling really silly going between the stations, but whatever ;D (Actually, it was kinda nice in the sense that the salespeople let me do my own thing, for the most part, instead of hovering. Thank goodness ;) Again, with my penchant for the more unusual, I picked out a less common anthropomorphic-toy-species, and when I browsed the dozens of outfits, one jumped out immediately.

It's a leopard with an eyepatch, how much fun is that? XD; *dork* But yeah... the salespeople thought it was an amusing combination, too XD Hmm.. I think I need to make him a foamie sword and a belt of some type...
