Our apartment has been broken into. 2 powerbooks, and 2 watches stolen. They only went into the bedroom, and completely ransacked it. Emptied all the drawers looking for jewelery or money probably. Sigh. They skipped the living room and office, which had more computers, and other electronics small enough to steal.
The police came and took a mirror that maybe had some prints, but they brought it back and the prints were too smudged. I also gave them the serial number for the one powerbook that I had a serial # for. I doubt I will ever recover it. I had quite a bit of personal information on there, which is what I really care about. hopefully whoever ends up with the laptop deletes my files and doesn't call the clients I had in my address book...
