Well, I will not say exactly what happened because it is not my tale to tell. But my darling husband has finally come around to my way of thinking that we a) eat like gluttonous pigs and b) drink too much and c) spend too much money and d) are creating our own path of self-destruction and e) living as poor role-models for our 16 year old. (Mostly the husband with all of those things...but me too, to a lesser extent).

I mean, honestly, if you're looking for a poster child for some of the seven deadly sins, the two of us do a pretty good representation of Sloth and Gluttony. (And he also does Wrath quite well, so he gets three and I only have two. Um...yay me? lol)

So today is the first day of the rest of our lives. They always say you have to hit rock bottom. If we're not at rock bottom now with some of the horrible events we've had, then we're as close as I want to be.

So I joined a gym today...family membership. (Which contradicts letter C above...spending more money. But it will help with A, B, D, and E). My goal now is to provide hobbies (like the gym) for my hubby and myself and stay on the straight and narrow, so that we're not slipping into depression and overeating/drinking.

Unfortunately, tomorrow is a friend's bday and his party is at the bar (where else?) and we've committed to going, so it's to be diet soda and water for us.

Today for lunch I had a smoothie (peanut butter and banana) and I feel quite full.

Tonight I've got to take the kiddo for a haircut.
