My boys were gone, so I spent all day cleaning yesterday. I just plugged in DVDs and cleaned while I watched. I watched The Proposal, My Life in Ruins, and for the second time, I watched Twilight. (The Twilight movie is still not nearly as good as the book. Hope the 2nd movie is better. If I'd seen the movie first, I wouldn't have had any motivation to continue on with the series.)

While my bedroom still isn't finished, I made a huge amount of progress. I will make more progress today, I'm sure.

However, the interesting part of the story is when I nearly electrocuted myself. I might have been the first person you knew who died in a "freak vacuum-cleaner accident."

I heard something heavy get sucked up in the vacuum, so I switched it off, and pulled out the canister to peek inside. Before the canister was all the way out of the vacuum, I thought I saw something silver inside. So I reached in to grab the metal object, and when my fingers made contact....ZZZAAP! It literally made my whole body ache, even my teeth. For about 30 minutes after, I could feel pain going from the tip of my right middle finger all the way up my arm. Eventually that dulled to a throb, and gradually lowered down my arm until it was just my middle finger and part of my hand. Then it switched to just being numb. And today when I woke up, it feels like the middle fingernail has been bent back so that the space between finger and nail is very sensitive and painful, but the pad of the finger is still numb.

I'm thinking it happened because I reached in the container before the container was all the way out of the vacuum, and the vacuum was still plugged in.

Either way, it's put me off vacuuming. lol
