update: circles again
this is an update. "Update Journal" it says at the top of the screen. it looks at me, telling me i must have something to update.
UPDATE: the same lame love story.
my heart is a flutter again for a crush that is uncrushable. this is something beyond the petty cute mannerisms of never rolling down your bicycle pant leg when you walk into class. no, this is something like amazement because i can see you have some hidden universe there in your pocket and your curled mustache reminds me of things that remind me that your universe isn’t that hidden. somehow i know it. like i know my own little pocket full of planets and trinkets that i find on the ground. yes, this is something drowned in ridiculous memories of leaving notes on your table at coffee shops when you weren’t looking.
But now i just look at you over my double espresso and wonder why our circles are going in different shapes even though they’re both concentric.
then you leave and i tell you i like your hat, and you say you like my scarf. and we go on that way, circles forever, because if i told you everything you would say "i know."
