Bah!  I messed up BIG TIME.  I had decided to use two snaps for the overlap closure on this cuff.  Got the female piece stitched down and inserted the male piece to check for placement on the overlap.  Immediately broke two beads.  ARGH!!  Apparently I neglected to examine the snap before stitching it down, and the male part extends far through the hole when snapped together.  So I had to rush around getting the glue and making sure the bead bits stayed in place.  Some people might say, "Oh, that's perfect.  Now you have a ready-made hole for the snap."  But breaking a bead that's taking up tension in the thread is much different from stitching around a hole in the beadwork.  Once the tension is compromised it works its way through the beadwork and the whole cuff ends up looking sloppy.

Once the glue was dried I got out a precut length of super-soft Velcro, applied some strong adhesive to the back and stuck it down to the beadwork.  Or tried to.  It didn't stick.  *facepalm*  Neither did the next adhesive I tried.  *groan*  I ended up stitching the velcro strips down, which works but looks like shiat.  Furthermore, I'm not impressed with the gripping strength of the Velcro.  I don't trust it for one minute on my wrist.  It really is much more useful as closures on Barbie clothes, which is what I bought it for.  It just can't handle the weight of all these glass beads.

So my cuff bracelet is very pretty but not very practical.  Once again, as with so many things I make, I've done something to mess it up.  It would really be nice to have something turn out *just right* for a change.  *sigh*

Here's a pic DH took of it on my wrist:
