What a surreal thing to find; I came to look at LJ stuff for the first time in a while, and found this post (I got one of those “your friend has posted for the first time in a few months” notifications they apparently send out now), and... you’re ace! That’s just... I don’t even have a good word to describe how that feels, to know you are too; I never knew! Anyway, all that to say that I think that’s super cool!
Also, now that I’m completely off-topic anyway; I hope you/your family are doing well!
I'm blessed to have a husband who completely understands and doesn't see me as "broken", and never EVER finagles me into doing anything I don't want to do. He is a truly good man, and that is the grace of God.
Amanda is doing well, she started 11th grade today. She's going to a trade school instead of a college prep school, focusing on Interactive Media. She's struggling with pre-cal, but doing well otherwise. She's also studying for her learner's permit.
I am a grandmother! Tereasa and her husband Brian had a little boy named Justin in March and he is a sweet, happy little boy with a smile that lights your heart up! He just learned to pull himself up and is working hard on crawling!
That’s fantastic!!! I’m lucky enough that my own husband is very understanding and supportive as well, so I’m very pleased to hear that it’s the same for you!
A grandmother, wow!! That’s incredible, tbh; Justin sounds like a sweetheart, and that’s absolutely amazing news. (Although it’s a bit surreal to me to imagine you as a grandmother; the internet really makes you forget about the passage of time sometimes :P) And likewise for Amanda! Pre-calc is tricky stuff, but it sounds like she’s got a good goal in mind for her schooling :D
I’m good, thank you! Just went through a change of ownership for the music school I work for, but it’s going to be good going forward, I think. It’ll definitely take a bit off of my plate, which will be helpful. My husband went back to school a couple of years ago and is now starting his third year of courses, which he’s enjoying, and our 22yo fur baby Patches is in good health as well!
