I remember when she was in the Sugar Cubes on SNL and my father absolutely refused to believe that they were a real music act. He seriously thought they were another act.

I have never liked her. But I did love the swan dress. Just from the perspective of it's nice to see someone where something different... even if it is a dead bird!

Borders used to play one of her albums all the time. I never liked it, but I was hoping it was not typical of her work.

Unfortunately, this concert was more of the same.

I enjoy some of her earlier work ( Debut / Telegram ). It is different and that is part of the appeal, but it's also something that is most enjoyable in small doses. Her newer work does not hold as much appeal for some reason, it might be because I think her sound has stagnated.

I guess I can see the appeal of individual songs, mixed into a bunch of other, more conventional music.

It might just be the name. "Bjork!" is almost as fun to say as "Spleen!"
