Thursday is Literacy Day

Jan 14, 2010 12:02

Although, I guess that everyday is literacy day for me.

Body: Can I get a leg transplant? My left hip and both ankles and knees are in pain today.

Reading: Still reading Anathem. I might manage to finish it this weekend.

Hearing: Mountain Stage

Etsy find: Beautiful, hand-painted thread in many shades of pink. I know I've linked to this artist's stuff before, but I really do love her work that much.

Project Follow-up: I can has car! Well, almost. We signed the paperwork and left a deposit to purchase a 2004 Honda Accord. Of all the cars we tested, it was the first one that I really liked. I would have preferred buying a General Motors product, but all the ones in our price range had bad reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, and all the ones that had good ratings were more than we were willing to spend. At least the Accord is built in Ohio, even if it isn't a union plant.

Tonight's Project: Picking up things for Arisia this weekend, then dinner with the gang. After dinner, packing for the weekend.

Randomness: Sing to the tune of the hymn "Morning Has Broken" -

Mornings are evil
every last morning
they start too early
for any one sane.

Yes, I am odd. I am also not a morning person.
