Clowns
Is anyone of you afraid of clowns?
After seeing several TV shows and movies with characters who were afraid of clowns, and after hearing that there are actually many people who don't like them or are afraid of them, I began to wonder how it comes.
When I think about it, I have to say that I never thought if clowns as funny. I never understood why people laugh about them. Also, they're are kinda... strange. I was never afraid of them, and still don't, but it's also not that I like them. I don't really care about them.
But what is it with this fear? Wikipedia says it comes from faces being hidden under makeup, because they're not recognizable as something human. That's interesting because I can't think of many people who know SciFi shows and movies and are afraid of any aliens. Not even the evil ones. But then, those aliens don't walk among us (I hope *lol*), while you can meet a clown on the street...
So, any ideas? Your opinion?
