Schools out for summer....I feel like the song should be playing. The kids are all excited to be able to stay up later. I hate letting them stay up later though because when I put them in bed I consider the time between their bedtime and mine as my break. They are all anxious to sleep on the trampoline, but I won't let them until the weather is nice. Hopefully that will be soon. On the last day of school they always have an assembly where they pass out awards that the kids have earned. Austin earned a presidential fitness award, Spencer didn't earn it because he couldn't run. Too bad, because last year he earned it. They also pass out awards to the kids who met their AR goals. Spencer missed his one semester...too bad because he really had a good reading year.

Hailey graduated from preschool last Thursday. Her teacher is such a great teacher and I really liked her. Hailey is such a smart girl and now her fine motor skills are really doing better to. The kids' school changed kindergarten to 1/2 day because they had to hire another 4th grade teacher. I am kind of disappointed only because that means I have to drive up to Oakley every day to pick her up. I am kind of glad that I get to have my little girl with me for 1/2 of the day though. I'll really miss her when she is gone all day.

On Friday we are going to Utah. My FIL has been encouraging us to go because they are supposed to be doing the basement this week on the house. So far I haven't seen the cement company though and it is Tuesday. It makes me crazy to not be able to plan. We are still going to Utah though.

Yesterday I took the kids to Walmart. It was a rainy day. I loaded the kids and groceries into the car and went to return my cart. As I looked over I saw a lady I'm guessing in her 50's hurrying to return her cart too. I never get a close spot so the cart return is always a long ways away. I looked over at the lady and said "Are you up for a race?" LOL I guess I'm competitive. She said "I'll race you but I'll let you win." When I got back to the car I realized how crazy I must be. Oh well, I still would have been up for a race!

Something annoying happened at Walmart too. The guy at the photo department was handing out sacks with coupons in them. I told him no thank you, and he said "you really are mother hubbard." It is so rude to judge people by the amount of kids they have. My kids were behaving just fine.
