No. I just know I've always had it. My family says I started reading when I was 4 and I haven't stopped since.
2. What are some books you loved as a child?
The one that stands out in my memory is
Fuzzy Rabbit. It was along the lines of Toy Story (before those movies came out, about a stuffed rabbit who is loved to pieces by his owner but is then pushed aside when she gets a brand new stuffed owl for her birthday. I just loved that book - the pictures were so vivid and lifelike. I so wanted a Fuzzy Rabbit all for my own.
3. What is your favorite genre?
Generally, it's fiction. More specifically, I love historical fiction most.
4. Do you have a favorite novel?
No. I have several. In fact, I have a whole shelf in my house dedicated to my favorites. On it are the Harry Potter series,
The Dive from Clausen's Pier,
The Witching Hour,
The Prince of Tides,
Gone with the Wind,
She's Come Undone,
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal,
The Outsiders,
1984, and, of course,
To Kill a Mockingbird.

On the treadmill. On the couch when Luke's watching TV on lazy Sunday afternoons.

On the weekends when I don't have any homework and at the gym in the mornings. I tried to read at night, but I usually fall asleep in the process.

Nope.
9. Do you buy most of the books you read, or borrow them, or check them out of the library?

Not usually.

My (six-year-old!) son just started reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was one of my all-time favorites. I try to introduce him to my favorites, but he's usually not interested.
12. What are you reading now?
Fragile Things, Neil Gaiman
