i hope to start something that resembles a career. Lord knows that's nearly impossible in this city. Between catastrophic floods, drinking, and murders, my life is starting to resemble a Johnny Cash song. And, though I love Cash, that ain't cool. Plus, it's possible to have cheaper rent in Chicago than New Orleans now. And Chicago has things NOLA doesn't. Like an economy. And a stable socio & political infrastructure. (Seriously, I can't believe I'm about to vote for Nagin.)
Anyway, it sounds like life is good for you right now. It should be. It's the summer. Be lazy. Have a margarita and sit out on the porch and don't mind the sweat and listen to some Miles Davis and watch the sun set in haze as thick as molasses and the sky turn purple and relax because that's a little thing. And it's the little things you'll forget about when you get to that mindset of "Holy crap, I'm almost 30 and I have neither a family nor a career. Where's the whiskey?"
Hey girl, I miss your face. How would you feel about me leaving you my furniture for the summer? Although, if you're cohabitating at BSC, it may be a moot point.
franklin took the words right out of my mouth...hey girl, i miss your face. except i probably would have left off the hey girl. and i dont have any furniture i want you to keep. but i do want to hang out with you sometime soon. love!
haha. We should definitely hang out. I talked to Besser day before yesterday. I don't know why I'm telling you. It was good to talk to her and I thought I'd share the joy. Call me if you're ever in this area of the world. Or call me anyway.
hey...i miss your face too!! i want to be in the club. : ) when you said 'i'm a pookie with little bitty toes,' i laughed out loud...actually, i'm still laughing. ha, ha. i want to come to birmingham next weekend. or soon, if not then. i love you.
I laughed out loud just reading about you laughing out loud. We should laugh out loud in person soon for shizzle. I'm thinking you should commit to this weekend. No pressure or anything, but that would be fun.
