so many irons in the fire

Thanks in large part to some headaches that left me worthless for other things, feeling generaly blah, and trouble getting to sleep (what is up with that!) all week, I've already had a nicely productive week with the Peacock. I finished the first panel - yay! I'm pretty pleased with it. I can't help think it needs more gold sparkle (so much green!) but after counting up the beads used on this one panel frankly I can't afford it. *sigh* SO insane the numbers of beads this thing eats! I got started on the next panel as well... almost have enough of the gold beads to finish it. Mreh.

I think I may have figured out a way to have my cake and eat it too on the Gaulle project. The orginial fabric I was thinking of for it won't work afterall (not enough yardage) but then it occured to me that the cotton voile I was going to use for a jacket for my 18th Century Picnic in June might work instead. I don't know. I still like the idea I have in my head of the cute little late century jacket I had planned and I've been told the fabric wrinkles like heck so is a gaulle the best choice? I don't know... this will take some pondering.
