The crank continues today, but I plan to fight it off tonight by baking the magnificent looking devil's food and peppermint cake on the cover of Bon Appetit this month. For a co-worker's birthday tomorrow.
The kitty is the bright spot, though her antics are even beginning to get on James's nerves. Apparently she decided this morning that the best way to get onto the computer desk was to climb his leg. She is adorable and makes such a pitiful mewling sound when we close her door as we leave for work that we are very tempted to just stay home.
Tomorrow she heads to the vet for her first shots. Hope she still likes us after that.
